According to Vera Poole, who is a descendent of William Elmer Preston:

Charles Enoch PRESTON. He was born on 01 Feb 1866 in (date per Preston
family bible) Washington County, OH. He married Ida Iona ALLENDER. They
were married on 23 Dec 1885 in Washington County, OH. He died on 21 Jan
1899. Fact 1 in was murdered on the railroad bridge in Marietta, OH. Fact 2 in his
brother, William Elmer, and he married sisters, Ide and Elizabeth J Allender. Fact
3 in not sure death date is correct Charles! (may be "Charles E."). Fact 5 in not
sure death date is correct Charles! (may be "Charles E."). Fact 4 in #4230-2 and
#3931-2?????????? (Death).

According to the Marietta Weekly Times, Wed. January 25, 1899, p.8., col. 5:
Charles Preston dided at his home on West Side Saturday afternoon about 3 o'clock, aged 33
years. He had been sick for several weeks with throat trouble which finally caused his death. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Gilman Avenue ME church, of which he was a member. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss.

Ida Iona ALLENDER is the daughter of William Greeley Allender and Louisa Barbara Colliflower.
She was born on 29 Sep 1865. She was also known as Ida. Fact 1 in Ide ? or Ida ?. She died in
buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Marietta, OH.

From Bernice (maiden name "Carpenter") Richardson in September/October, 1968:
"Ida Iona Allender born September 29th, 1865, died ... married first to Chrley Preston, brother of
Elmer Preston, 2nd marriage was to George Chamberlain. Children to this marriage were Eddie
Preston born ... died ... Goldie Preston who married Jack Gill and lived and died at Parkersburg.
WV and Lewis Preston, born ... died ... where buried ..., Ida and George are buried in Oak Grove
Cemetery, Marietta, OH."
According to Bernice's document, both Ida and Harriett were born in 1865. Check this out.
