The following article was taken from the Gettysburg Tribune on June 3, 1932:
Mr. & Mrs P. T. Gindlesperger had as guests recently at their home in Biglerville, Miss Kathryn Johncour and Clinton Johncour of Johnstown, and Robert Hemminger of Davidsville.More About Harold Johncour:
Military service: WWII - US Army---------
From Peter J oncour:All of this information is about my grandfather Harold C. Johncour (son of Sylvester and Amanda) not about Harold R. Johncour. Ironically I discovered this because I was looking at the family tree to see how I am related to Sandy Zimmerman, who has recently found me on facebook, and is the daughter of Harold R. Johncour.
My validation for moving this information is the fact that my grandmothers maiden name is Gindlesperger and I am named after her father Peter. His home in Biglerville (where my grandma grew up) is the one referenced. The Kathryn Johncour they refer to is my grandfathers sister. I also have more information on the WWII Army service if needed. That is of particular importance to me since he flew on the B-24 Bomber in WWII and I now fly the B-1 Bomber for the Air Force, my wife flies the B-52 Bomber for the Air Force and my brother is a helicopter and airplane pilot for the U.S. Army. Unfortunately, my grandfather died when I was 10, so he either thinks we are crazy and would have talked us out of it, or he is very proud!
As always I will continue to update the information from my family as I can. It is definitely going to need updated in Jan since my wife is pregnant with our first child!
What is the best way to look at the entire family tree? Is it just by navigating page by page through the website?
