Paul was a member of the Patton Borough Council for 12 years, 1975-1992. He served a Mayor of Patton for six years, 1992-1998. and also served as a member of the Patton Municipal Authority as Secretary for 10 Years. He was a life member of the Patton Fire Company. Was a veteran of the Korean War in the Pacific Theatre and was awarded the Korean Medal. In 1971, early New Years morning in Spangler he was severely injured fighting a fire resulting in hie being a paraplegic.
