Introduction

This document allows you to find what monsters in Lost Odyssey have what items and where you can find them. This document exists in HTML form at http://BillPringle.com/games/lost_odyssey_enemies.html or in text format on GameFAQS.

So if you are trying to create a certain ring that takes some weird components that you don't have, you can see if any enemies have them, and where they can be found.

The information in this guide came from various sources, including the Official Strategy Guide. There are a number of typos and omissions in that guide; I think I have caught all of these problems, but if you find a mistake, please let me know by sending e-mail to wrp103@gmail.com. I normally encourage people to buy the official strategy guide. Usually the maps alone are worth the price. For this game, however, I have mixed feelings about this. The maps aren't very clear, and there are some areas that aren't covered very well. For example, the Temple of Enlightment is a complex dungeon, but the official guide basically says "good luck" and leaves you on your own. I used the FAQ by Split Infinity from gamefaqs, and found it better than the official guide in most cases.

The items listed here are the potential items that can be dropped or stolen. In most cases, you can only steal one item from an enemy. The number of items that are dropped after the battle will vary from battle to battle. Some items are more likely to be dropped than others, so you might end up having to fight certain enemies many times before you get the item(s) you are looking for.

The document lists all enemies within the game Lost Odyssey, along with where they can be found, and any items they drop or can be stolen. These lists are cross-referenced, and the HTML version allows you to click on any name to find more information about that enemy, item, or location. The document is divided into sections:

Enemies: An alphabetical list of all enemies, their HP, what items they either drop or can be stolen from them. and where they can be found.
Locations: An alphabetical list of all locations in the game, what enemies can be found there, and what items they have
Items: An alphabetical list of all items that can be obtained from enemies, along with a list of those enemies, and whether they drop the item or it can be stolen.

This file was created using a tool developed by Bill Pringle, and is available from him. The tool could be used to create similar lists for any game. In order to use this tool, you will need to create an XML file with the appropriate information, and run an XSL script. There are free programs available that can help you do this, and Bill Pringle would be glad to help you get started. Use of this tool is free, provided you keep this paragraph intact in your file(s).
